5 Fun Things to Do for Mom On Mother's Day

I Love MomInstead of filling Mom up with chocolate and junk to celebrate your love, why not do something for her that actually does something for her? Here are five things you can give her for Mother's Day that say, "Take care of yourself as much as you've taken care of me."

  1. Active activities. Get out and about for the day. Take her whale watching, go on a guided nature walk, or even visit a museum. Ultimately, what any mom really wants is for her kids to take some time for her. You'll get in some great exercise and it'll be a chance for the two of you to catch up.
  2. Make her a healthy dinner. Forget the Mile-High Manicotti Meal at Olive Garden. Have a look through the Beachbody Newsletter archives for a delicious meal that'll leave everyone feeling great! Or if you're a MyBeachbody Member, select one of the Lunch and Dinner favorites in the Recipe Index.
  3. Take Mom fruit pickingTake her fruit picking. If she expects something sweet, there's nothing sweeter than fresh-picked strawberries or cherriesand the season is just getting started. It's great exercise topped by a good-for-you treat.
  4. Find a fun exercise class. Your local chamber of commerce, town hall, or YMCA should be able to help you find just the class to get mom sweating. And if mom says it's too late to get fitpoppycock! It's never too late and you're never too old!
  5. Push Play. Of course, you can also just get fit at home! Lend mom one of your workout videosor buy her a program of her own. She might enjoy Kathy Smith's Project: YOUTM or even Yoga Booty BalletTM. Work out together if you can or just be there for her and be supportive of her efforts
